The Forbidden Kingdom (Movie Review) By FC100

This movie many don`t talk about anymore but I like to talk about something that I Think is worth checking out

At the time of 2008 Jackie Chan wasn't in any movies as often he did before and people though that his career was about to be over I thought so as well because he has been in over 100 of films and he hasn't been making any movies lately but then I went on the Internet on yahoo and there was a background of a new movie coming out. The Forbidden Kingdom it was a new Jackie Chan film but not only that also Jet Li was going to be in the movie. Everyone called it "Jackie Chan and Jet Li Together For The First Time!" people went crazy that there favorite action star was going to be in another film and I beg my mom to take me to see it and at first I was Hype but then after leaving the theater I was not only amaze but I started to not really that much I just thought it was decent but not bad. But then in a later time I bought the DVD and try to get back to it and in an older age I learned how to appreciate the film.

The Story from critics said it is a good movie but some said it was a mixture between the wizard of oz and the karate kid. That's kind of true but it has it's own plot, Here's the story a young boy played by Michael Angarano which last role I saw him in was Disney Sky High and also it kind of the same kind of role because in Sky High he was a weak teenager and than later he turns into a strong person and learns how to fight which is kind of the same in The Forbidden Kingdom. Well what happens in the movie he's friends with an old man who owns a pawn shop full of Chinese movies and house furniture and weird looking Sculptures. He loves watching foreign films and he mostly likes the combat movies so he always comes to his pawn shop to get something, He is bullied by a gang of thugs we likes to steal from house and stores he is tricked to bringing them in the pawn shop and stealing the money but then the Gang Leader shoots the old man. The young boy finds a staff and the old man tells him to bring it to the rightful owner and then runs for his life and on the top of the roof the staff pushes him by the ledge and falls of into Ancient China where he meets a drunk man played by Jackie Chan who tells him the story that the staff belongs to the Monkey King who had Fought an evil warlord who wants to kill him but needs the staff destroyed to finish the job and that's the plot. The Characters are given good explanation in film but some background characters are just people who help are not important in the film. The greatest things in the film is the environment and the Action. There are many fight scenes in the film and there insane and there not predictable when you think someone going to win your wrong it takes time to figure out who's going to win unless if you saw the film many times and you remember but first time viewers will have difficulty. The film brings Chinese Culture, Great Fighting, Sad Moments, and Great Suspense it will keep you on your seat and I won't explain who Jet Li characters because it's an important part in the movie so I won' spoil it so that's a;; I have to say.

My Last Impression it's a good movie and if you happen to spot a copy on any dollar store or stores like Target, Wal-Mart or in any video store I say get it you won't be disappointed FC100 signing out and I will see you on my next blog.
